                                        OUR SCHOOL
St.Behanan's Higher Secondary school, the tower of knowledge,enlightening the social scenario of  vennikulam was named after it's patron St.Behanans. The school was started first as an English middle school in 1916,and named as valankara . It was under the administration of the local church then.It was in 1962 that it was elevated to a high school and came to be known in it's present name. Later it was amalgamated to catholicate and M.D Schools corporate management.It was in the academic year of 1985-86 that english medium classes were started here
                                      The begining of the plus two in the year 2000-01
was a milestone in the history of the school. At present there are around 1800 students studying here  from 5th to12th standards.Eminent personalities like Vennikulam  Gopalakurup,sabha poet  Sri C.P.Chandy,Rajyasabha  Deputy speaker Sri P.J.Kurian are a few of the former students of this school.
                Having achieved victories throughout the past 98 years this school is still running it's course achieveing  great results in the 10th and 12th standard final exams respectively.
